Utah State Parks Offer Hammock Campgrounds





There’s something special about spending the night under the stars. But it’s even more unforgettable when you gently swing in your hammock. Two state parks in Utah – East Canyon State Park and Red Fleet State Park – offer unique campsites with hammocks to take your camping experience to the next level. Whether you love hammock camping in Utah or just want to try it out, you need to check out these campsites for yourself!

Over the years, hammocks have become popular ways to relax outdoors and for some outdoor enthusiasts, they have become camping staples.
To experience hammock camping, Utah State Parks has created hammock campsites at two of its state parks: East Canyon State Park and Red Fleet State Park. These campsites are perfect for families, friends, scout troops and more.

Big Rock Campground in East Canyon State Park near Morgan is where you’ll find one of these hammock campsites. Here you will find a large metal structure where you can hang up to 10 hammocks at a time.

These campsites are also equipped with basic camping amenities like a picnic table and fire pit.

At Red Fleet State Park, located north of Vernal, Red Fleet Campground also offers this unique hammock camping structure. But what sets this campsite apart is the free hammock rentals.

Hammocks are available for rent at East Canyon State Park, but at an additional cost.

Since these campsites are limited in each state park, be sure to check availability and make reservations on the Utah State Parks website.
Whichever state park or campground you choose, spend the night in a hammock with stunning views of the night sky. These campsites with hammocks offer a summer experience you won’t forget.
