Saint-François State Park staff invite the public to a Halloween party at the park’s campground at 5 p.m. Saturday.

The evening’s program includes:

  • 5 pm-6pm – Costume competition at the campsite playground.
  • 6.30 p.m.-8 p.m. – Trick-or-treat.
  • 8:00 p.m. – Award-winning best decorated campsite.

The costume contest photo booth will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. near the campsite playground. Visitors to the park are invited to stop and have their photo taken in order to enter the contest. There will be five categories: 0-3 years, 4-7 years, 8-12 years, 13+ years and best group costume. Costumes should remain suitable for families. The winners will be notified by phone to collect their prizes at the campsite. Competitors must be present to win.

The treat is open to the general public and will take place on the park’s campground from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participating campsites will receive a Halloween sign at the time of registration to display on their sites. Campers are responsible for providing the candy for the trick-or-treaters.

Registered campers can participate in a Halloween-themed camping decoration contest. The campsites will be judged during the trick-or-treating. The rewards of the best decorated sites will be given at 8 p.m.

The public is strongly encouraged to follow social distancing guidelines and to be proactive in protecting themselves and others.
