Ontario Hosts New Country Music Festival For Outdoor Camping This Summer


The producers of Boots & Hearts Music Festival, Republic Live, have announced that an exciting new music festival is coming to Ontario this summer. The Big Sky Music Festival will take the stage for the first time on July 20, promising to bring “fans back to the classics” with an impressive lineup of star-studded performances.

The festival will take place at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds at Oro-Medonte and will include a breathtaking program of exceptional acts. Viral sensation Mason Ramsey, aka “Walmart’s Yodelling Child” will perform at the concert, alongside Canadian artists Jason McCoy and The Redhill Valleys. The performances of Alabama country music legends Travis Tritt and Diamond Rio also draw attention to the event.

Lisa Zechmeister, Director of Reservations and Development, said in a press release, “All of these artists represent the distinct sound of traditional country music, which is what the Big Sky Music Festival is. While each of them has their own take on the genre, what ‘They have in common comes a time of determined lyrics, impressive vocals and harmonies, and genuine musicality. ”

Big Sky Music Festival will also feature local talent. Jason McCoy –a Barrie– an award-winning, five-time Juno-nominated native country music artist – is not only a recognizable face of Ontario’s country music scene, but also one of the festival’s star performers.

The festival will consist of a full day of activities and entertainment. According to a press release, the Big Sky Music Festival will feature a vintage car show that will showcase more than 100 vintage cars, as well as a craft market filled with locally made clothes, accessories and homemade crafts, as well as assorted food and drink vendors.

According to Republic Live, the festival includes on-site camping facilities and reserved campsites for hydro and non-hydro RVs that will be available on Fridays and Saturdays. The site also offers motorhome rental options via RVezy, from Canada # 1 motorhome rental community, with delivery directly to your campsite. Campsite guests will be invited to an exclusive and extravagant roast pork which will also be hosted by the festival on Friday evening.
