Los Alamos STEAM Lab has spots open for summer activities – Los Alamos Reporter

LOS ALAMOS STEAM LABORATORY PRESS RELEASE

The Los Alamos STEAM Lab has many activities coming up this summer and there are still spots open at their summer camps.

Summer camp

First, we have our summer camps which are starting to fill up. If you need a scholarship or to reserve a place, now is the time to tell me so that we know that we have a place for you.

Tutoring

If there is enough interest, we would like to continue our affordable tutoring program over the summer. Please let us know if you are interested so we can start planning around your schedule.

Coding Club and World Robot Olympiad

We would like to continue our coding club one morning a week during the summer. We are currently working on planning this, so again let us know if you are interested.

We are also working on mentoring a few World Robot Olympiad teams this summer. This is similar to the US First Lego League, but with smaller teams and no research game. We have an information session on Sunday May 1 at 12:30 p.m. Register here: https://lasteamlab.com/shop/world-robotics-olympiad-exploratory-session/

American Sign Language

We are planning an ASL class for all ages this summer. It won’t be a sign baby, but rather a full-fledged language course encompassing grammar and nuance. Let us know if you would like to be kept up to date with this class.

Playtime for toddlers and PreK

We are currently organizing recess for toddlers. We plan to continue this throughout the summer and expand to include 3 and 4 year olds as well.

next fall

We also have our after school program set up for next fall for those who really like to plan ahead. https://lasteamlab.com/shop/steam-lab-after-school-2022/
