Art, music and everything else! Qatar Tourism has announced its list of activities for the month of August and there is something for everyone.
If you’re spending the summer in Qatar and haven’t had the opportunity to travel, don’t let the heat keep you from enjoying the various events on offer.
Just three months from the whistle of the World Cup, Qatar is already appearing as an entertainment paradise to prepare for the world tournament.
Are you a FIFA 22 fan?
The first on the list is for gaming enthusiasts.
AAMeghessib’s Back-2-Back, an exclusive FIFA 22 eSports platform for PlayStation 5 in Qatar, launched its tournament last week and will run until August 26. It is named after Ahmed Al Meghessib, a prominent FIFA player from Qatar. and a footballer.
To enter the tournament, a team of two players must be formed before competing to qualify before the national final. The angle of the competition is that in the 11v11 Kick-Off mode, teams must score two consecutive goals to win.
The final tournament will take place in Doha Festival City, surrounded by crowds who will support their favorite player. The first place winner will receive 45,000 QR, the second 30,000 QR and 15,000 QR for the third.
Qatar Tourism is offering the prizes in the form of redeemable vouchers for use at Virgin Megastores.
Catch your horses, literally
Have you ever thought about learning to ride a horse? Well, this is your golden opportunity. Al Shaqab is currently running its summer equestrian program until August 11, allowing all residents to hone their skills in the sport.
The program was launched with the aim of making Al Shaqab the premier equine center of excellence to teach and promote horse riding as part of Qatar’s equestrian heritage, given its importance in the culture and heritage Qataris.
This month, various options are available for all ages, including Summer Pony Ride for children aged three to seven, Al Shaqab 2022 Adult Summer Activity for adults aged six to 18 and more, private summer activity for adults and summer. Academic riders camp.

Meanwhile, Web Design also offers Creative Space Summer Camp for all the little ones who are interested in technology. The camp will focus on robotics, programming, web design, and other areas of computational thinking.
For sports enthusiasts, the PSG Academy offers a summer program which will run until August 18, while the Evolutions Sports Qatar summer camp will run until August 11.
In the meantime, the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) is holding a Children’s Mental Health Summer Camp until August 14.
It is impossible to mention activities without including art, especially with Qatar’s emerging artistic and creative hub.
Many exhibitions are currently taking place at the National Museum of Qatar, at M7 in Msheireb and at the fire station for all art, fashion and automotive lovers.
In the brand new, massive, site-specific installation “Pipilotti Rist: Your Brain for Me, My Brain for You,” guests embark on a journey of self-discovery through a multimodal experience that evokes reflection and wonder.
Within the Mawater Gallery are three magnificent cars that are part of “A Sneak Peek of Qatar Auto Museum”, all on display at NMoQ.
In parallel, the “Doha Dreams” exhibition, inspired by Christian Dior: Creator of Dreams, will be presented on M7 until the end of the month.
Until November, children aged 3-5 and 5-7 can participate in the art workshop “Paint palette: abstract art for children”. By creating vivid abstract paintings on canvas, Paint Palette will allow young children to explore color, learn artistic language and recognize shapes.
Two exhibitions are currently underway at the fire station: “Abeer Al-Tamimi: Beyond the Rules” in Gallery 3 and “Abstraction: Overturning Reality” in Gallery 4.
