Jan Abhiyan witnesses a series of activities across Kathua on Day 06
On the sixth day of the ongoing ‘Jan Abhiyan Awaami Muhim’; As a prelude to the upcoming Return to the Village programme, line departments today organized a series of panchayat-level activities across Kathua District.
IT Department Secretary Prerna Puri visited model joint service centers at panchayat Gurha Mundian, Hiranagar & Chack Nathal, Marheen and reviewed the progress made by these units under the leadership of Jan Abhiyan.
The Department of Agriculture distributed soil health cards to farmers in women’s self-help groups in a brief ceremony held at the Plahi panchayat in Basohli, while the Department of Health organized registration camps Ayushmaan Bharat PMJAY in Dhar Dugan, Bagoga, Thall and Dilwan panchayats under Jan Abhiyan program.
The tourism department also organized an awareness camp at Jasrota and Rajbagh Panchayats for exploring the trekking route inside the wildlife sanctuary, Jasrota, where an interactive session with PRI members and locals also took place on the occasion.
Jal Shakti Department PHE Kathua Division organized water testing from Amrit Sarovars to Panchayat Sallan in Dinga Amb block to inform residents about the water quality of the water bodies. During the day of activities, an E-Shram registration camp was organized by the Department of Labor at Anganwadi Centre, Ward no 11 Kathua to register all eligible under the Jan Abhiyan scheme.
The tax administration today organized an awareness camp in Patwar Halqa Kanthal (Bani) where land booklets were distributed to beneficiaries. Similarly, in Panchayat Sadrota, an awareness camp was also organized during which the officials informed the people about the various services offered by the Department of Revenue through the online mode.
A training and sensitization camp was also organized by Kathua Cooperatives Department in collaboration with PRI members at Fatehpur Panchayat of Bani Block to encourage potential members of cooperative societies and cooperatives.
The Ministry of Industries organized a sensitization camp under “Jan Abhiyan” regarding PMEGP at Block Dinga Amb where people were explained about the scope of self-employment scheme. Meanwhile, J&K Bank Dayalachack branch organized an awareness campaign in Dalli village where bank officials educated people. on schemes like Sukanya Smridhi and other social security schemes.
A joint sensitization camp was organized by DIC, Handloom, Handicrafts Departments at CFC Kharote where field officers from the departments briefed the participants on their plans and programs.
