It’s the season for winter activities

Whether you enjoy hiking, biking, camping, fishing, ice skating, trampoline parks, watching Christmas lights or even staying indoors and watching a movie, baking cookies or Christmas decorations , the Tri-Cities offers a variety of fun activities both indoors and outdoors for families and groups of friends.

If you are more of a fan of the outdoors and adventure, the Tri-Cities have many options to offer you. For example, if you are into cycling, Tannery Knobs Mountain Bike Park has many different bike paths for you to choose from. Depending on the intensity and length of the cycle path, you have the option of choosing the one that suits you best.

However, if you are more into hiking, the Tri-Cities have several different options for you as well. You can hike to a lookout or even a waterfall. The Rock Creek Falls Hiking Trail is a 1.5 mile hiking trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall. In this trail there are many creek crossings so plan to get your feet wet. Be sure to be extra careful when hiking and enjoying nature.

On the flip side, if you’re more interested in some quiet indoor or even outdoor activities, the Tri-Cities have plenty of fun options. Activities such as trampoline parks, skating rinks, Christmas lights and cinemas are all great activities to participate in.

For example, Shadrack Christmas Wonderland is a family friendly Christmas light display curated for the whole community. The event takes place in Johnson City and goes on sale for tickets from November 24, 2021 to January 2, 2022. It’s an event you don’t want to miss. It’s a great Christmas activity for the family and is perfect for the winter holidays.

Plus, if you’re looking for fun things to do with your family on a budget, consider all of the different Christmas activities that you and your family can create on your own. Baking cookies, decorating gingerbread houses, or even going out to play in the snow can be some ways to have fun and spend time with your family.

There is always something to do, and I hope these ideas help you and yours have a fantastic winter vacation!
