Youth athletics

City of Conroe Youth Athletics will compete in the Gulf Coast Athletics Tour and the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Regional Athletics Meet and train in Conroe. Registration is for ages 7 to 18 and runs from April 8 through May 12 with a registration fee of $70 for Conroe residents and $88 for non-residents. The summer track season runs from June through July, with most competitions taking place early on weeknights in the Houston area. Training takes place every week with two to three meetings per week. Conroe Aquatic Center Water Park Hours for May

The Water Park at the City of Conroe Aquatic Center will be open Saturdays and Sundays May 14-29 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The entrance fee is $10 per person for anyone entering the facility. Children 2 and under are free to enter. Water park passes and multi-facility memberships are available. Multi Arts Camp

Multi-Arts Camp is a specialty camp held at the Owen Theater. Students aged 7 to 12 spend a week learning the music, art and basics of acting. The camp ends with a student performance on Friday afternoon. The cost is $120 for Conroe residents and $150 for non-residents per session. plastic arts class

Let’s be Artsy! This session will introduce clay making for beginners. Working with clay and hand building techniques (no wheel throwing) on ​​Mondays or beginner ceramic painting on Tuesdays. Art classes are offered in the Activity Center Art Room, across from the CK Ray Recreation Center. This session lasts 3 weeks on Mondays or Tuesdays from June 6 to June 21. The cost is $50 for Conroe residents and $63 for non-residents for a one-hour class. All supplies are included. The Conroe Aquatic Center offers American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim lessons for anyone over the age of 6 months. Conroe residents can register online starting Monday, May 9 and non-residents Wednesday, May 11. The cost is $40 for residents and $50 for non-residents. Morning and afternoon classes are offered. Residents are reminded to update their residency status once a year by visiting the Aquatic Center to verify their resident address. Do you want to enroll your children in swimming lessons? How are they swimming now? Once the assessment is complete, parents will know which class level their child should be enrolled in. Assessments are suggested for people who have already taken courses at another institution. No assessment is required for participants taking classes for the first time. Assessments are free.
