Sound Bath

Sun, October 19, 2025 • 5:00pm - 6:00pm (1h) • Chapel

Sound Bath Meditation in partnership with The Office of Health Promotion led by Marc Anderson.

An immersive experience in which the listener is “bathed” in waves of soft tones, shifting textures and gentle rhythms. Combining the sounds of crystal singing bowls, gongs, hand drums and subtle drones Marc creates a rich and deeply therapeutic experience. His extensive background as a musician and meditation teacher, supported by years of studying trance related music/healing traditions, allows him to create unique, powerful, well-crafted sessions that restore, relax and transform.

Marc Anderson is a Twin Cities based musician, composer, Zen priest and poet. He has studied, performed and recorded music all over the world with hundreds of great artists including; Angelique Kidjo, Robert Fripp, Steve Tibbetts, Don Cherry, Max Roach and Taj Mahal. He founded and directs the M2 Foundation which advocates for a more mindful and compassionate world. And, he is on staff in the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life at Macalester College.

Dinner provided following the meditation.

All are welcome and invited to bring a pillow and/or blanket to the event!
